Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. She relocated to Oxfordshire in the year she turned five and enrolled in an academy called the Dragon School. Emma's ambition was to become an actor. At the age of six, she joined the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch and took lessons in acting, singing as well as dancing. The actress had performed in numerous Stagecoach and school productions by the time she was 10 years old. In 1999 casting began in the production of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered through Emma's Oxford theatre teacher. After eight auditions consistently, director David Heyman told Emma and fellow applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they were cast for the roles of the three leads Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first screen appearance took place with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's premiere in the year 2001. It broke all records in opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings and became the top-grossing movie of the year 2001. The film has been praised by critics for its film and the performance by three young actors. The Daily Telegraph, an important British publication, described Emma's performances "amazing". In the following days, Emma was shortlisted for five awards for her performance in the film, winning an award called the Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in an feature Film.
